One of these does not belong with the others...over the past two weeks Scrabo and Scotland have not left a lot of room for sleep. Unless you count the zzzz's Nikki and Evan caught on the way home.
Moving on, the last two weeks have been incredible. Scrabo was a great team that I am blessed to have been a part of. Everyone on it was so fun and had such a beautiful heart for the kids of the scrabo estate. I will be lucky if all of the teams are this great. The next camps have a lot to live up to.
I helped with the P1&2 section (kindergarten and 1st grade) which was very fun. It's been a long time since I have worked with little kids. My section team was great and I did soooo much coloring. The last night we made lions masks...adorable.

It was a week of Nebraska (no, really though), http://youtu.be/-vZjvi4cLz4 meals without flatware, late nights, laughs, singing and Jesus. The theme song of the week was definitely "you can't get to heaven without salvation, S-A-L-V-A-T-I-O-N." You don't know that song, but I needed to put it into this post for posterity.
Incredible friends were made this week an I feel so blessed.
Then, we have a week of holiday so Evan, Nikki and I hopped on a ferry...then a bus, and a train, and another train to Edinburgh, Scotland. (Levi went to hang out with his parents who were in Ireland.) Now I've never really cared about seeing Scotland, but it was amazing and I'm so glad we went. It was my first time staying in a hostel, but it turned out not even scary. We saw the royal mile, the castle and learned a lot of history about Edinburgh. It's kind of a dark city, but also funny because they were trying to look like Athens for some reason. We had a great time. So glad we were able to go.
We were back in Belfast last night for the evening so lovely Fiona kindly came to collect us from the ferry and took us home (to derryvolgie hall). We did laundry, got the Irish version of chipotle (called Boojum) and went to SeaPark (basically Golden Gardens). Oh yea, I forgot to mention the weather the last couple days has been crazy nice. Like in the 70's and sunny which actually never happens here. We had a lovely time; it was gorgeous.
Now we are on the bus to Dublin where we will spend the rest of our week before heading to a new camp on Thursday. I am excited to start another camp but did not realize how hard it would be to switch teams every week. The beginning of the week is so hard, especially because the rest of the team knows each other and it can be hard to find where you fit. Sunday and Monday of last week were extremely hard but once I found footing the camp flew by. Praying for an easier transition this next camp, but I know I can do it. God is definitely working in me and the rest of the team and this is such a great opportunity to serve. I am so happy to be here.
I also have been recommended a part-time position at UW that would be about 10 hours a week, but very flexible. I'm working to figure out how to apply and interview while in another country, so hopefully if I'm meant to do it, everything will work out.
Until next time!!!
